Seomun Market is the biggest traditional market in Daegu. From the Daegu market, which was one of the three biggest markets in Joseon dynasty(1392-1910) along with Seoul market and Pyongyang market, it has been going on ever since. Textile and fabric are the major items, and is playing a role as the central market in Daegu. Recently, night market has opened.

Dongseongno is one of the most representative main streets in Daegu, with more than 100 years of history. Outdoor stage in front of Daegu department store as a center, along with pedestrian-only area which re-enacted the image of old wall, gyodong jewelry street, tteokbokki street, bag street, second hand street are all connected.
Along with Suseong lake, which was built in 1925, there are benches, trees, trail and boat quay. Also, there is a Suseong land which is an amusement park with amusement facilities.
As an attraction that offers visitors a panoramic view of the city, Apsan Observatory is heavily frequented by tourists. There are two ways to reach the observatory: taking the cable car from Keungol (15 minutes) and going on foot from Anjiranggol via the hiking trail (one hour).
It is a tourist attraction where you can look over the whole city of Daegu. The west part of Daegu Tower has Duryusan, Seongdangmot and Daegu Culture and Arts Center where the tourists could enjoy various performances, exhibitions and events. There are citizen physical training facilities including a multipurpose sports field, a swimming pool, a soccer field, a tennis court, a baseball stadium, an inline skating rink, etc.
Donghwa Temple is located to the south of Daegu Jinsan Palgong Mountain. The inner constructions include Tongil Yaksa Buddha statue which is reaching 17m high. Besides, there are lots of national cultural relics found in the temple. Nearby, there are Gatbawi Stone Buddha and Bangjja Yugi(Korean traditional dish) museum which are also worth to visit.
This village starts with two 350 year old gigantic trees. Soil and rock walls along the village are in a good harmony with the nature. These are archetypal house in Joseon Dynasty(1392-1910), so people can glimpse at the lifestyle and architecture of the Joseon Dynasty.
Gangjeong Goryeong weir is regarded as being the center of the river in Gangjeong, which has developed into a new attraction along with the in-development representative water cultural center for the four rivers. Gangjeong Goryeong weir (length 953.5 m) prides itself on being the largest weir on the Nakdonggang River.
Daegu Arboretum was the site of a landfill before, but converted into an arboretum, in order to solve the environmental crisis. It currently has 21 plots, and houses over 60,000 trees of 400 different types. In addition, there are a variety of different flowers, cacti, and other plants to be seen. As an arboretum near the heart of the city, it attracts visitors as a site for viewing, education, and relaxation.
